Travel information
MODELS 2016 will take place in Saint Malo at Palais du Grand Large (PGL). As explained below, there are multiple ways to get to Saint Malo.
By train
The TGV is the high speed train. Train tickets can be bought online from SNCF or Raileurope.
From London to Paris, you may wish to use the Eurostar to Paris, and then one of the solutions below.
By boat
There are regular ferries between the united kingdom and St Malo (e.g. Brittany Ferries or Condor Ferries).
By plane
The main airports to get to Saint Malo are located in Paris, Rennes and Dinard (see more details below).
From Paris
Paris is about 400 km (4:00) away from Saint Malo by car. You can get there by the motorways A11/A13 (through Rennes) or A13/A84 (through Caen).
Paris Charles De Gaulle (CDG) airport
There are direct TGVs to Rennes where you easily get connecting trains or shuttles to Saint-Malo (maximum waiting time 0:30).
If this does not fit with your own flight schedule, you may consider taking a TGV at Paris-Montparnasse railway station. See below.
Within Paris-CDG airport, you find:
- the TGV station;
- the RER subway station to reach Paris-Montparnasse railway station (subway map and schedules).
- Air France bus shuttles to reach Paris-Montparnasse railway station.
Paris Orly (ORY) airport
Find the RER subway station to reach Paris-Montparnasse railway station (subway map and schedules).
Air France provides also bus shuttles between the airport and the railway station.
Paris Montparnasse railway station
There are direct TGVs to Saint-Malo in 2:56.
Depending upon your travel schedule, you may prefer using a direct TGV to Rennes where you easily get connecting trains or shuttles to Saint-Malo (maximum waiting time 0:30).
From Rennes
From Rennes-St Jacques airport there are 22 direct daily flights to/from French and European towns (destinations).
From Rennes, there are trains or shuttles to Saint-Malo (maximum waiting time 0:30).
From Dinard
From Dinard Airport (70 km from Rennes) there is a daily flight to/from London Stansted by Ryanair (destinations).
There are regular boats and coaches between Dinard and Saint Malo.
From other cities in France
There are direct TGVs from Lille, Lyon, Marseille, and Strasbourg to Rennes where you easily get connecting trains or shuttles to Saint-Malo (maximum waiting time 0:30).
